BridgeTheGapSQE (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online educational platform designed to assist candidates preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (“SQE”).


BridgeTheGapSQE is an independent educational service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or any official SQE assessment provider.

2. Acceptance of Terms


By accessing and using this website and/or purchasing any of our services or materials, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use this website.

3. Acceptable Use Policy


3.1 Permitted Use


This policy sets out the rules for using the BridgeTheGapSQE website and services. By using this website, you agree to comply with this Acceptable Use Policy.


You may use this website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these policies. In particular, you may use the website to:


  • Access educational materials

  • Submit advocacy videos for feedback

  • Communicate with BridgeTheGapSQE regarding purchased services

3.2 Prohibited Use


You must not use the website:


  • In any way that breaches applicable law or regulation

  • To transmit harmful, unlawful, abusive, or defamatory content

  • To upload malicious software or viruses

  • To attempt to gain unauthorised access to website systems

3.3 Video Submissions


When submitting a video to the advocacy feedback service, you agree that:


  • You have the right to submit the video

  • The video does not infringe any intellectual property rights.

  • The content is lawful and appropriate.

  • Any other content that BridgeTheGapSQE deems inappropriate (entirely at their discretion)

We reserve the right to refuse or delete submissions that breach these requirements.


3.4 Misuse of Materials


You must not:


  • Share downloadable advocacy notes with others

  • Upload materials to shared drives or forums

  • Sell or distribute our materials

  • Reproduce website content without permission

Any misuse may result in:


  • Suspension of access

  • Termination of services

  • Legal action and/or reporting to the relevant regulator

3.5 Suspension of Access


We reserve the right to suspend or terminate website access if users breach this policy.

4. Our Services


4.1 Video Advocacy Feedback Service


Candidates may submit a video recording of themselves performing an advocacy exercise. Upon submission:


  • We will provide a written feedback report outlining strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.

  • Feedback is provided for educational purposes only.

  • We do not guarantee that use of our services will result in passing the SQE2 assessment.

  • Limited follow-up questions may be submitted by email. Follow-up questions must relate strictly to clarification of the written feedback report. We reserve absolute discretion to determine whether a follow-up question falls within this scope. We are under no obligation to provide responses beyond the original feedback report, though we endeavour to provide responses where possible.

4.2 Advocacy Notes


We provide downloadable and printable Advocacy Notes (“Materials”). By purchasing or downloading these Materials, you agree:


  • The Materials are for your personal use only.

  • They must not be shared, distributed, reproduced, uploaded, or resold.

  • They must not be circulated to other candidates, organisations, training providers, or third parties.

  • You may print copies solely for your own personal study purposes. 


Unauthorised sharing or distribution may result in legal action and reporting to the Solicitors Regulation Authority. Please see clause 14 for further details. 

5. Intellectual Property


All content on this website, including but not limited to:


  • Advocacy Notes

  • Feedback reports

  • Written materials

  • Branding

  • Website content

  • Logos and design

are the intellectual property of BridgeTheGapSQE unless otherwise stated.


You may not:


  • Copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any content without prior written permission.

  • Share purchased materials with third parties.

  • Upload materials to online forums, shared drives, or social media.


We reserve the right to pursue legal remedies for intellectual property infringement.

6. Payments and Refunds


6.1 Payments


All fees must be paid in full before services are provided or materials are made available.


BridgeTheGapSQE reserves the right to amend its prices as required in accordance with usual commercial practice. 


We may amend the price of any product at any point, save for after a product has already been purchased by that customer (in which case that customer will receive that product for the price they paid, barring any other unspecified issue at play).


6.2 Refunds – Advocacy Notes


Due to the digital nature of downloadable materials, refunds will not be provided once access has been granted or materials have been downloaded.


6.3 Refunds – Video Feedback Service


Refunds will not be issued once a video has been reviewed and feedback has been prepared.


If a technical issue prevents submission or access, please contact us promptly.


6.4 Refunds - NB


Notwithstanding the above, refunds may be offered at the discretion of BridgeTheGapSQE in the appropriate circumstances as judged by BridgeTheGapSQE staff. 

7. User Responsibilities


By using our services, you confirm that:


  • You will not upload unlawful, defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate material;

  • You do not abuse (or similar) any BridgeTheGapSQE staff.

We reserve the right to refuse service if submissions are inappropriate or abusive.

8. Confidentiality and Video Submissions


We treat submitted videos and reports as absolutely confidential. However:


  • We cannot guarantee absolute security of electronic transmissions.

  • It is your responsibility to ensure that your upload method is secure.

  • Videos will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for providing feedback, unless otherwise required by law.

BridgeTheGapSQE provides educational materials and feedback designed to assist candidates preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), Kaplan, or any official SQE examination provider.


References to the SQE are made solely for descriptive and educational purposes.


9.3 No Guarantee of Examination Results


While our services aim to help candidates improve their advocacy skills, we do not guarantee:


  • Passing the SQE2 examination

  • Achieving any particular score

  • Examination success

Performance in any professional examination depends on many factors outside our control.


9.4 Accuracy of Information


We aim to ensure that all information provided on the website is accurate and up to date. However:

  • Examination formats or requirements may be updated by relevant authorities.

We will endeavour - though clearly cannot guarantee - to maintain all content remains current and up-to-date at all times.

  • Decisions made based on website materials

  • Loss or damage arising from reliance on website content

Users remain responsible for their own preparation and professional decisions. Use of our services is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability


To the fullest extent permitted by law:


  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss.

  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service purchased.

  • We are not responsible for examination outcomes.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded under English law.

11. Website Availability


We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website.


We reserve the right to:


  • Modify or withdraw services;

  • Update materials.

12. Termination


We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our services if:


  • These Terms are breached;

  • Materials are shared unlawfully;

  • Payment disputes arise;

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Strict Prohibition on Sharing Materials


The Advocacy Notes, feedback reports, written materials, and all other educational content provided by BridgeTheGapSQE (the “Materials”) are strictly protected by copyright and intellectual property law.


By purchasing, downloading, or accessing any Materials, you are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence for your personal use only.


You must not, under any circumstances:


  • Share the Materials with other individuals;

  • Upload the Materials to group chats, shared drives, forums, or social media platforms;

  • Distribute the Materials to study groups or other SQE candidates;

  • Provide the Materials to any training provider, course provider, or educational institution;

  • Reproduce, copy, or redistribute the Materials in any format;

  • Sell, licence, or commercially exploit the Materials;

  • Upload the Materials to websites, file-sharing platforms, or cloud storage systems accessible by others.

This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, sharing via:


  • WhatsApp

  • Telegram

  • Discord

  • Facebook groups

  • Google Drive

  • Dropbox

  • Email forwarding

  • Online forums or study groups

Any sharing of the Materials with even a single other person constitutes a breach of these Terms.


15.1 Monitoring and Enforcement


BridgeTheGapSQE actively monitors for unauthorised distribution of its Materials.


If we reasonably believe that our Materials have been shared without permission, we reserve the right to:


  • Immediately terminate your access to all purchased services and materials;

  • Revoke your licence to use the Materials without refund;

  • Require deletion of all copies in your possession or control;

  • Take legal action for copyright infringement and breach of contract;

  • Seek financial damages and recovery of legal costs where appropriate.

15.2 Liability for Distribution


Users who share Materials may be held legally responsible for:


  • Copyright infringement;

  • Breach of contract;

  • Any financial losses suffered by BridgeTheGapSQE as a result of unauthorised distribution.

This liability may arise even if the sharing was informal or non-commercial, including sharing within study groups or between friends.
